Toronto police have detained two members of the Canadian Armed Forces on charges connected to organised crime and kidnapping, the Department of National Defence confirmed. The arrests were made in Toronto and both soldiers were taken off active duty shortly after.
The DND said it is working closely with the continuing investigation. No further details about the charges or the names of those involved have been released.
