The Conservative Party has unveiled plans to eliminate the £100,000 threshold for free childcare. Kemi Badenoch, the party's chief secretary, has referred to the current rule as 'absurd' and has indicated that the move targets eliminating the 'cliff edge' where individuals with substantial wealth face great economic stress. The proposal has been extensively covered by major UK news outlets, including the BBC, The Guardian, and Financial Times.
