Governor Kathy Hochul has named Attorney General Letitia James to oversee the Cornell gang-rape investigation. This move follows the 2024 determination not to prosecute, as revealed in recently unlocked documents. The documents contain Jane Doe's account from text messages. The governor directed the attorney general to supervise the investigation, citing the necessity for a comprehensive review. The case had previously been handled by the district attorney.
