Jeff Bezos owns a 127-metre superyacht named Koru. The boat is docked at a Queensland marina right now. The Amazon founder stays a considerable distance away. It is worth $500 million. It carries 40 crew members. Getting supplies for a short stay costs about $1.4 million. Local marine industry sources estimate the visit brings $1.95 million in economic activity to the area.
Other luxury vessels are also coming to the region. This builds Queensland's name as a destination for ultra-wealthy vessels. The Courier Mail describes the marina as a mecca for billion-dollar yachts.
